Together with RCB Bank, C&C Publishing presents the Russian edition of the culinary travel cookbook Cyprus – A Culinary Journey at the Hilton Hotel in Nicosia. RCB is C&C’s publishing partner for the first Russian edition as well as the second editions of the German and the English books.

The main events linked to the cooperation between RCB and C&C are the celebrations of Pafos as UNESCO’s European Culture Capital 2017 and the International Year of Sustainable tourism 2017 declared by the United Nations.

Cyprus - A Culinary Journey combines both these events harmoniously. It reflects the charm of the Mediterranean and the heart-warming hospitality of the Cypriots. This book deserves our commitment,” said Vladimir Popov, Deputy CEO of RCB Bank, at the press conference.

Another reason for this cooperation is the six renowned international awards worldwide which the book received in 2015. This makes Cyprus – A Culinary Journey one of the most prizewinning cookbooks in the world.

In a unique and original way, the book depicts encounters with the people, landscape, culture, nature and traditions on this fascinating island. Its 336 pages of photographs and text contain unforgettable pictures and reportage, inviting the reader to embark on an unusual culinary journey across Aphrodite’s island.

The 70 recipes have been researched, reworked and personally cooked by the German star chef Franz Keller and the Cypriot TV cook Marilena Joannides. The visuals for the recipes were shot by prizewinning food photographer, Markus Bassler.

The culinary team of experts consists of Astrid Zieglmeier (sommelier), Anja Jahn (portrait photographer), Rita Henss (writer), Oliver Hick-Schulz (food and graphic designer) und C&C CEO Marianne Salentin-Träger, who spent a total of 150 days on the island.
